Acholi leaders urge Museveni to reconsider Balalo eviction
Opinion leaders and elders in the Acholi sub-region have called on President Museveni to reconsider his blanket eviction order against migrant herdsmen, known as the balalo, who are based in northern Uganda. They described the eviction order as unrealistic, saying it would plunge the Acholi sub-region into economic losses, stir land disputes, and undermine the budding cattle economy and land use.
