NIRA urges Ugandans to preregister online for national ID services
The National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) has called on Ugandans seeking fresh registration and renewal of their national IDs to preregister online to avoid delays. This comes amidst concerns over long queues and delays in the ID renewal process at various centres across the country. Meanwhile, the Authority has revealed that the number of registered renewals has grown to 150,000 per day and continues to rise.
