Muslims in Rukungiri pray for PFF boss’ release
The Muslim community with Eid El Aduha celebrations worldwide, for at least two more days. In Rukungiri Eid Prayers were dominated by the call for the release of former presidential contender Dr Kizza Besigye, who was kidnapped and detained in November 2024. Presiding Imam Ahmed Jonan pleaded with President Museveni to enable the release of the former Presidential Contender and their son, Dr Kizza Besigye who has been in jail for over 6 months now. Ali Mugisha, another Muslim, said the continued arrest of Dr Besigye is a clear violation of his basic freedom and human rights.
