IGAD member states speak out on food security
Member states of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD)are calling for collaborative regional efforts to address food security.
According to IGAD, member states need to collect agricultural data to inform decisions on areas of progress and how countries can support each other. Uganda, through its Ministry of Agriculture, has pledged to take the lead in providing database reports to the member states to address this issue, which has been attributed to global climate change and its related effects.
