Five NIRA officials arrested over extortion
Police in Jinja has arrested five workers of the National Identification and Registration Authority - NIRA, on grounds of extortion. According to the Area Deputy RCC, Peter Banya, the detainees were arrested for extortion following several public complaints. On receiving information, the police set up a trap and arrested the staff.
