Fifth suspect arraigned in Joan Kagezi murder case
The prosecution has arraigned a fifth suspect in the case concerning the murder of former state prosecutor Joan Kagezi. The suspect, Abdul Semujju alias Minana, was today formally charged in court before presiding magistrate Daphine Ayebare. Semujju Abdul, a former Special Police Constable attached to the Flying Squad Unit, was initially arrested in connection with Kagezi's murder in 2017 but was later released due to lack of evidence. However, following renewed investigations, Abdul was picked up last week from his home in Kayunga District.
