Erias Lukwago resoundingly beat 10 others in Mayoral race
Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago was on Wednesday re-elected to serve for a third term. Lukwago won decisively despite earlier predictions that the race would be a hard fought battle against National Unity Platform’s Nabillah Nagayi Ssempala. The Lord Mayor Elect now wants President Yoweri Museveni to stop interfering in the management of the capital city, which Lukwago says is one of reasons KCCA is not performing to expectations.
