ELECTION AUDIT: Gov't tells off US officials
Uganda Government has responded to the call by the US government for an independent investigation into the election violence and alleged malpractices during the country’s just-concluded presidential election. In a statement by the US state department, America threatened targeted sanctions for the security agents who led the violence against civilians during the election period. Ofwono Opondo, who is the government spokesperson responded dismissing the threats of sanctions.
