2021 ELECTIONS: MPs question practicality of campaign guidelines
A section of Members of Parliament has questioned the guidelines issued by the electoral commission to regulate campaigns ahead of the forthcoming elections. Some of the guidelines include limiting to seventy (70) the number of people allowed to attend a campaign meeting, a prior inspection of the campaign venue by Electoral Commission officials and a ban on processions. The Electoral Commission has set 14th January 2021 as the polling day for MPs while campaigns will run from 9th November 2020 to 12th January 2021.
