Mountains of the Moon University develops forest feed and farm concept
Mountains of the Moon University, in collaboration with several international universities, has developed a Forest Feed and Farm concept, an agroecology model to curb the effects of environmental degradation that has caused climate change.
According to Prof. Coxwel Achang,the Vice Chancellor of Mountain of the Moon University, this innovation will help farmers to co-exist with forests and practice farming without cutting trees for farming.
This scientific design, according to it's promoters will enable farmers to practice farming in the forest, which will sustain the carbon harvested from trees. This was during the collaboration meeting with international students from abroad in Fort Portal.
