Since the launch of the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area Urban Development Program (GKMA-UDP), Mukono Municipal Council has made notable progress. For FY 2024/25, the budget is UGX 58.6 billion — UGX 3.9 billion for Immediate Sustainable Goals (ISG) and UGX 54.6 billion for Millennium Development Goals (MDG). By April 2025, UGX 2.9 billion had been received under ISG and UGX 30.1 billion under MDG. Of the ISG funds, 64% have been utilized, with 36% of activities committed.
