World record holder Joshua Cheptegei handed tourism ambassadorial role
Uganda Tourism Board has unveiled Joshua Cheptegei as tourism ambassador. The 10,000 metres world champion will be tasked with carrying and marketing Uganda's tourism potential abroad.
His first assignment comes this weekend with Cheptegei set to figure in the 11th staging of the Monaco Run.
The distance runner has opted to take part in the five kilometre run instead of the National Cross Country Championships in Tororo.
He says he intends to perform his ambassadorial role just as well as he does on the track.
