UMEME on the spot over Lwengo protests
Residents at four villages of Kaapa, Kibuye, Kagogwa and Ndagwe in Ndagwe Sub-county in Lwengo district yesterday protested a three-year power outage which was caused by an explosion of the area transformers in different periods of time. Residents of Kibuye village allege that their transformer exploded in 2017 and they have tried to reach out to those responsible but all in vain.
