Policy experts question the sustainability of COVID-19 donations
Specialists in public policy have called on government to reprioritise the national budget to provide resources needed to tackle Covid-19. They have disagreement with the Prime Minister's appeals for public contributions towards the purchase of Vaccines saying 29 billion shillings was collected by government in the first phase of the pandemic yet none of it has been accounted for. The criticism comes in the wake of revelations that each of the 529 members of parliament had received 200 million shillings to acquire a vehicle.
