Parliament approves taxes on fuel, internet bundles
Parliament has approved a 100 shillings tax on each litre of fuel sold amidst protests from some MPs. Government anticipates it will collect UGX 196b from this increment. The house also approved a 12 percent excise duty on internet bundles but rejected a proposed 100 shillings tax increment per kilogram of wheat grain.
