AMENDING UPDF ACT: NRM MPs say they are ready to pass the amendments
Government Chief Whip Hamson Obua says the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party leadership has been meeting in Entebbe to, among other issues, discuss matters of national importance. He insisted that issues surrounding the UPDF Amendment Bill 2025 were concluded much earlier, and the MPs are now waiting for their turn on the floor of the House. He maintains that the amendment is in fulfillment of the requirements of the January 2025 Supreme Court ruling. The NRM MPs were today summoned by the party chairperson, who also doubles as the President, to discuss this matter in Entebbe.
