Opposition vows to oppose UPDF Act in parliament
Opposition MPs have unanimously agreed to participate in tomorrow’s parliamentary session to oppose the UPDF Amendment Bill, which they say is aimed at bringing civilians back to military courts—something they strongly oppose. They plan to base their arguments on the law and intellect, rather than confrontation, to convince their NRM counterparts of the dangers of trying civilians in military courts. The opposition in Parliament addressed the media today, led by the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, Joel Ssenyonyi.
