Malaria cases increase in Buikwe as health facilities concentrate on COVID-19
Malaria cases in Buikwe district have seen an exponential increase according to reports from health workers across 23 health centers in the area, causing alarm of yet another health crisis in the country. Njeru municipality has been the most affected by the sickness, registering about 5 patients suffering from malaria daily basis. This comes as Uganda's health sector faces an overwhelming challenge in health service delivery and an abnormal increase in the number of patients due to the presence of coronavirus.
