Janani Luwum memorial lecture held in Kitgum
Scores of people in Kitgum turned up for the St Janani Luwum memorial public lecture at the District Council hall. Luwum was murdered in February 1977 after he was accused of treason. Keynote Speaker Prof. George Piwang Jalobo delivered numerous eyewitness testimonies among that of Archbishop Emeritus Luke Orombi. The residents of Kitgum want the government to fully support the commemoration of the Late Archbishop every year besides giving to different development projects in the church, education, health and conflict resolution.
