Experts warn of extreme weather events
Global studies indicate that extreme weather events like heatwaves and large storms are likely to become more frequent or more intense with human-induced climate change. Uganda is beginning to face the effects of climate change, with the daily average temperatures rising in districts like Kabale, Mbarara, Kanungu, Rukungiri and the Rwenzori region in the west.
