Experts note drop in Crested Crane population
The East African Regional Manager for International Crane Foundation, Dr Adalbert Ainomugisha, has revealed that the number of crested cranes has tremendously plummeted causing their extinction. He added that the rapid decline of the crane population came after wetland breeding grounds were altered and disturbed as farmers and settlers cleared wetlands for farming.
