Buganda local gov’ts accuse ULGA of politicising organisation
District chairpersons from Buganda region have broken away from Uganda Local Government Association (ULGA) to form their own organization - the central regional local government leaders forum. The Buganda chairpersons fault ULGA for failing to fulfil its mandate to agitate for the concerns of local governments and instead become an extension of the NRM party, fronting its agenda and programmes. However, the newly elected leadership of ULGA led by Kabarole district chairperson Richard Rwabuhinga has denied the allegations and vowed to implement its set mandate.
