36 FDC activists arrested in Kisumu, Kenya
Kenyan authorities have handed over thirty-six Ugandans who were arrested on Tuesday in the western Kenyan city of Kisumu for allegedly taking part in an illegal meeting. These are members of a breakaway faction Forum for Democratic Change. Paul Mugisha, the director Liason and protocol at the External Security Organization said the thirty-six individuals, who include thirty-three males and three females have been handed over to police for further interrogation. The group's coordinator said they had gone to Kenya for a leadership training retreat.
