Observers welcome the appointment of latest CDF Gen Wilson Mbadi
Kasese and Rwenzururu kingdom leaders have hailed the president for the appointment of General Wilson Mbadi as Chief of Defense forces, the first Mukonjo to hold this position. Some leaders, who also serve in the Rwenzururu kingdom view the appointment as President Museveni's goodwill gesture towards the reconciliation process between the government and the kingdom, following a UPDF raid on the palace in 2016.
