The government has been asked to do more to support schools in acquiring lightning conductors, as a prevention measure. It is 11 years since the government directed all schools to install these gadgets, and many are yet to comply for various reasons. This follows concerns about the safety of children in schools as weather experts warn of heavy rains this season characterized by thunderstorms, lightning among others.
