G77+China demands action at UN Summit for the future
The G77+China has demanded action during the Summit for the Future currently taking place at the United Nations headquarters in New York. Uganda’s Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Nabbanja Robinah presented the statement on behalf of the G77+China during a plenary session at the UN headquarters in New York on Sunday. Uganda is the current chair of the G77+China, which is the largest intergovernmental organization of developing countries in the United Nations. It provides a platform for the countries of the South to articulate and promote their collective economic interests and enhance their joint negotiating capacity on all major international economic issues within the UN system while promoting South-South cooperation for development.
