Brass for Africa: Supporting teenage girls
Disadvantaged teenage girls are set to benefit from an initiative by Brass for Africa, a social enterprise organization, which involves organizing bicycle races to raise funds to support the girl child and promote equality. The first leg of the initiative saw about thirty cyclists endure a 230-kilometer race from Murchison Falls in Masindi district to Kampala. Brass for Africa Country Manager, Andrew Agasi, says an estimated four thousand underage girls got pregnant and failed to report back to school after the COVID-19 lockdown.
