UPC Party President Jimmy Akena and Secretary General Fred Ebil lock horns
The ongoing woes in the Uganda People's Congress risk costing the party the support it has had for more than sixty years, party leaders have warned. The wrangles have seen party president Jimmy Akena dismiss the Secretary General Fred Ebil and three electoral commissioners for allegedly overstepping their mandate. However, in an exclusive interview with NTV's DANIEL KIBET, the UPC Secretary General claimed he is unaware of his dismissal and that he has held a phone conversation with Akena to plan for party activities.
