ROBERT KAGOLO SHOOTING: LDU sentenced to five years for killing journalist
Kakiri first division court has sentenced a 25-year-old LDU Rashid Mamuli for killing journalist Robert Kagolo on 29th April 2021 when he was at his brother's home in Kasenge Wakiso district. Mamuli has been sentenced to 5 years in prison on a charge of manslaughter that ended the life of Kagolo. According to UPDF first division spokesperson Maj. Charles Kabona the murder charges were dropped since the convict had no intentions of killing the deceased. However, the deceased’s family expressed discontentment against the court’s decision.
