UPC clears Akena, Enap for Party Presidency race
The opposition Uganda People's Congress has cleared Jimmy Akena and Dennis Adim Enap as candidates to contest for the party's presidency. This follows the release of the party's roadmap late last month, which attracted three candidates for the top party job. Addressing the media today, the party's Electoral Commission chairperson, Mahmoud Kazimbiraine, also released the schedule for the election of branch executives at different levels across the country.
