Residents lose homes and gardens to rising water levels along Lake Kyoga
Thousands of residents in Amolatar district and areas surrounding Lake Kyoga in northern Uganda, have been left homeless as a result of increasing floods in this area. Reports indicate that several people have been displaced and roads cut off while crops have also been destroyed from several gardens especially in Amolatar district. As Nelson Omoya reports, the worrying floods are bombarding this area as a result of the rising water levels on Lake Kyoga.
