Nakawa RCC orders arrest of SACCO leaders over misuse of Emyooga funds
The Deputy Resident City Commissioner for Nakawa Division, Edrine Benesa, has ordered the arrest of the Naguru 2 Tailors Emyooga SACCO leadership over the alleged mismanagement of Emyooga funds. The suspects are Esther Chelimo, the SACCO chairperson, and David Simamira, the general secretary, while the treasurer is still on the run. According to the Nakawa Deputy RCC, Edrine Benesa, the SACCO leaders withdrew 9.3 million shillings, claiming it would be used for their scrap business.
