EABC, PSFU announce investment summit in Nairobi
The East African Business Council, in partnership with PSFU and regional stakeholders, has announced the East African Business & Investment Summit & Expo 2025, set for October 16–17 in Nairobi, Kenya. With the theme “Promoting Private Sector-Driven Regional Integration,” the summit aims to reposition the EAC as Africa’s trade and investment hub, building on rising intra-EAC trade now at USD 5.2 billion in early 2025. Over 600 delegates are expected to attend, including policymakers, CEOs, and investors, with a focus on digital transformation, AfCFTA opportunities, SME growth, and actionable policy reform. During the launch of the summit, the EABC Chairman, challenged members states to completely remove numerous licensing regimes and other barriers which are complicating the movement of goods and services.
