Kikuube authorities nab two on charges of torture
Police in Kikuube District have arrested two people on charges of torture in Kiswaaza village while another suspect is on the run. The suspects include the Gombolola Internal Security Officer GISO for Kiziranfumbi, Francis Mwesige, and another resident Emmanuel Byaruhanga who is a member of the Village security team. Their arrests comes after a video of the alleged torture was shared on various social media platforms prompting outrage from members of the public. Johnson Tumwebaze, the Kikuube district Police commander says police acted quickly after seeing the video circulating on social media hence arresting the two suspects.
