Farmers welcome water supply in Lango, Teso
The Food and Agricultural Organization has formally launched several small-scale irrigation systems in Amolatar to provide water for production and home use in the Teso and Lango sub-regions, to improve the livelihood of the local communities. The move, which has been welcomed by farmers, comes as part of its mandate to integrate climatic resilience in Agriculture and pastoral production systems in Uganda.
