Locals in West Nile express frustration over unfulfilled road promises
The Nebbi-Zombo-Customs-Vurra-Arua Road in the West Nile region has been neglected for a long time, disrupting transportation, cross-border trade with DR Congo, and local economic development. This has become a national concern, that has reached the President’s attention. During a recent supervision visit led by Maj. Martha Asiimwe, who is the Head of the RDC Secretariat, local leaders from Nebbi and Zombo districts expressed frustration over unfulfilled promises from the NRM’s 2021 manifesto. They warned that these delays are eroding public trust and hindering mobilization efforts.
