President Yoweri Museveni yesterday began his new five-year term that will take him to 2026 and stretch his presidency to 40 years. That will put him in the league of very few African leaders that have been at the helm for four decades. In his speech after searing in the president took a Panafricanist tone appealing to his counterparts on the continent to think about strategic Unity for Africa’s survival and economic development. He advised Ugandans to move on now that the elections are over.
