Revisiting the contentious clauses of the Sexual Offenses Bill
The parliament of Uganda finally passed the Sexual Offensive Bill 2019 after a heated debate to have certain clauses withdrawn. Members of parliament especially the men, were more concerned about the clause on consent before and during a sexual act. Decriminalization of prostitution among other clauses, delayed voting on the bill. Solomon Kaweesa has more information on the clauses that made it and those that were trashed.
