Palliative Care Association launches compassionate clubs in Bunyoro schools
In their effort to promote care for patients with chronic diseases, the Palliative Care Association of Uganda has introduced the School Compassionate Club in schools in the Bunyoro Sub-Region. The Compassionate Club was launched at Mandela Secondary School, Hoima City, in partnership with Little Hospice Hoima. Mark Donald Mwesiga, the Executive Director of the Palliative Care Association of Uganda, says that they have embarked on the campaign to work through students to awaken the spirit of compassion for patients who need palliative care.
