Nabbanja: We are ready to develop other Uganda Martyrs' sites
Cabinet has resolved to allocate funds to upgrade the Uganda Martyrs' shrine, to tourism sites across the country. According to Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja, the government had acknowledged the importance of the site.
The Premier made the remarks as she made a pilgrimage at Kooki Haibaale, a catholic martyrs shrine, set up in the place where Andrea Kaahwa, also known as St Andrew Kaggwa was born in Kakumiro district.
The event saw the Bishops of Hoima and Fort Portal Dioceses, Vincent Kirabo Amooti and Robert Muhirwa Akiiki, celebrate Holy Mass to mark the occasion.
