More foreigners trying to illegally obtain Ugandan passports
The Government warned foreign citizens of arrest for attempting to unlawfully obtain Ugandan documents like passports and identity cards reserved for Ugandan citizens. Ministry of Internal Affairs spokesperson Simon Mundeyi disclosed that over 300 cases involving foreigners trying to acquire Ugandan passports are under prosecution in court. The government emphasized its robust system to detect passport application irregularities.
