Manafwa man convicted of chopping off girl’s hands
The Manafwa Chief Magistrate Esther Naluungi has convicted a one Derrick Kuloba for attempting to murder Evelyn Namasopo.
The then 16-year-old Namasopo who was a Senior two student was waylaid by Kuloba who chopped off her hands in July 2020 for allegedly refusing his sexual advances.
According to Mariam Mwiza, a human rights activist, the victim still experiences trauma as a result of the pain inflicted on her.
The court will sit on Monday for a sentence.
