Lango sub-region looks forward to parish model financing
The Lango sub-region, a renowned food basket, is now banking on the ambitious multi-million shilling state intervention, planned for the empowerment of village communities through financial injection; to revitalise small businesses in the northern frontier. Traders in the northern region's Cereals and produce hub, regret that their businesses have dipped to the lowest levels ever, in part due to a very weak purchasing power. It is anticipated that the Parish model, which seeks to convey at least 100 million shillings to selected households, is meant to realise better incomes for millions of community members, whose current well being has been rendered poor by the economic meltdown.
