Labour attachés to be deployed to monitor Ugandans’ welfare
Government is planning to strengthen its connection with Ugandans working abroad in a bid to protect their well-being. This development arises from reports of mistreatment and alleged killing of Ugandan migrant workers in the Middle East countries. There are approximately 190,000 Ugandans working in the Middle East.
