How to resolve country’s coffee pricing problems
A few days ago, Uganda announced a two-year suspension of its membership from the International Coffee Organisation (ICO) in an attempt to pressurize the organization to address its concerns as a coffee producing country. Some coffee producing countries have questioned the agreement, arguing that it only favors consuming countries while ignoring farmers' interests, especially in regard to getting a premium price and obtaining better quotas, not catered for.
