Unease among opposition as Mapenduzi takes on new committee role
The designation of Member of Parliament, Martin Ojara Mapenduzi to chair the public service committee of Parliament is causing uneasiness among opposition MPs. Mapenduzi’s new posting by the National Resistance Movement was announced just moments after the House was informed that he had resigned as chairperson of the Local Government Public Accounts committee, a position he was appointed to by the Opposition.
