Mpigi bus survivors recount their experiences
Survivors of the Lungala bus explosion are telling NTV that security and health protocols were ignored as passengers rushed to board that last bus to Ishaka from the Kisenyi Bus terminal to Bushenyi in Western Uganda. Passengers seated near to the man, who the police described as a suicide bomber, and the only one who died in the attack said that he spent the last minutes of his life communicating on phone and fidgeting with unknown material in his seat. Edward Muhumuza spent the day in Lungala, Mpigi district piecing together the story of how a bomb went off on a bus.
