Minister Aceng launches health worker immunization
Health Minister Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng has urged medical workers across the country to take up the COVID-19 vaccination program as rolled out by government. Launching the program in Lira city, Dr Aceng pointed out that the ministry is relying on healthworkers to encourage other Ugandans to accept the vaccine as part of efforts to combat the pandemic.Later, the minister also commissioned a 5.8 billion shilling plant to boost water supply at the Kacung water treatment center for National Water and Sewerage cooperation. The minister noted that the 40 km water project would provide the Lango community with clean safe drinking water, while also reducing demand for water.
