Inter-religious Council calls for respect of electoral processes
The Inter-Religious Council of Uganda has challenged Government to respect the rule of law and democracy. The Council Chairperson, Dr. Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, who is also the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, says violations of human rights and excessive use of force from the men in uniform in the recent Kayunga district by-elections, undermine the country's democracy and international repetition.
