As several countries from the international community continue to cut their aid to Uganda, the government has had to revise its budget funding sources. Tourism is now seen as one of the key lifelines of the economy, alongside agriculture and the oil sector. As Sudhir Byaruhanga reports, the tourism sector is expected to contribute $50 billion under the government’s tenfold growth target of $500 billion by 2040.
